Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the mapped platform operated by Mapped Research LLC ("Mapped," "we," "us"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Prohibited Content
You must not upload, transmit, or process:
- Primary patient data, protected health information (PHI), or individually identifiable health records
- Content that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Content that infringes upon third-party intellectual property rights, copyrights, or other proprietary rights
- Fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive content
Prohibited Actions
You must not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code, algorithms, or internal methodologies from the Service
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service without prior written authorization
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features or access controls
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Share your account credentials or allow multiple individuals to use a single-user account
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications
Prohibited Publication and Competitive Use
In accordance with Section 7 of our Terms of Service, you must not, without Mapped's prior written consent:
- Take screenshots, screen recordings, or capture any visual representation of the Service for public distribution, review, comparison, or academic publication
- Publish benchmarks, performance tests, comparisons, or evaluations of the Service
- Publish articles, blog posts, social media posts, or academic papers describing the Service's internal functionality or features in detail
- Access the Service for the purpose of building a competitive product, monitoring features, or conducting competitive analysis
You may reference the Service by name and link to mappedresearch.com in your research methodology sections without prior consent. See our Terms of Service Section 7.4 for details on this limited citation right.
Research Ethics
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with:
- Your institutional research policies and codes of conduct
- Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee requirements, where applicable
- Applicable research integrity standards and guidelines, including PRISMA, Cochrane, and GRADE frameworks
- All applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations
Fair Usage
Each subscription tier includes specific usage limits for projects, API calls, storage, and AI processing. These limits are described on our Pricing page. Excessive usage that impacts the performance of the Service for other users may result in rate limiting or account review.
Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in the following actions at our discretion:
- Warning: Notification of the violation with a request to cease the prohibited activity
- Rate limiting: Temporary restriction of Service features or API access
- Suspension: Temporary suspension of account access
- Termination: Permanent termination of your account
- Legal action: Pursuit of legal remedies, including DMCA takedown notices for unauthorized publication of copyrighted content

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@mappedresearch.com.
