What are the limits on Mapped Free, Project, and Team?
Mapped sells a systematic review as a project, with a one-time launch price. Free is the starting project. Mapped Project is the full workflow and carries the Most Popular badge. Mapped Team is the same workflow with higher per-project quotas. List prices stay on the card as a strikethrough while launch pricing is in effect. Current checkout prices live on the pricing page.
This guide is the detailed comparison. The pricing cards keep the quotas you need in order to choose a plan. Generation caps and the Non-RCT filter allowance are spelled out here.

The figures above are the included quotas. This guide does not add renewal rules or overage fees. The pricing page is where upgrade questions are answered, including the note that upgrading a project keeps the work already in it.
Labs, departments, and universities that need many projects, SSO, or purchase orders use institutional licensing. That offer sits outside the three columns in the table.
Citations stored and AI screening are separate quotas
A review has two screening numbers, and they do different jobs.
Screening citations stored is how many references the project can hold. Free stores 3,000. Mapped Project stores 10,000. Mapped Team stores 20,000. That is the library size for the review: the records you import, deduplicate, and track through the PRISMA flow.
AI title/abstract screenings is how many of those records the Classification Engine will screen at title and abstract. Free includes 500. Mapped Project includes 10,000. Mapped Team includes 20,000. On the paid plans the screening quota matches the storage quota. On Free, storage is larger than the AI screening quota, so part of the library is screened by the reviewers without an AI pass on every record.
Screening still runs as title/abstract, then full text. AI full-text screening is off on Free and on for Mapped Project and Mapped Team. Open-access full-text retrieval, which the Free card still lists, is the step that fetches an open PDF. It is a different feature from AI full-text screening.
Included studies, extraction, and risk of bias
Screening quotas count records in the queue. Data extraction and risk of bias count studies that are already included.
Free includes 0 studies for data extraction and 0 for risk of bias. Mapped Project includes 20 studies for each. Mapped Team includes 50 studies for each. Meta-analysis, GRADE, and manuscript generation are off on Free and on for both paid plans. The engines themselves are described on data extraction, risk of bias, meta-analysis, GRADE, and manuscript drafting.
The Non-RCT filter is off on Free. Mapped Project and Mapped Team each include one apply and one undo. The screening page explains what the filter removes. The allowance in the table is the plan limit on how many times it can be applied and undone.
Mapped Validation
Mapped Validation cross-checks a research idea against PubMed and PROSPERO and returns an evidence-gap reading. It is included with Mapped Project and Mapped Team. It is off on Free.
Collaborators and single reviewer + AI
Free includes 5 collaborators, and the owner counts as one of the five. Mapped Project and Mapped Team include unlimited collaborators. Invited collaborators use the project the owner paid for. The role model, blinded dual review, and audit trail are covered on collaboration.
Single reviewer + AI is off on Free, so Free stays on dual review. It is on for Mapped Project and Mapped Team: one reviewer can work with a validated AI as the second reviewer. The methodological choice between those designs is in single versus dual reviewer screening. The plan limit is only whether the product turns that mode on.
Research-question and search-string generations
Four small caps sit under the workflow that happens before screening. Each one is a generation count for an AI draft, and the table is the exact allowance:
- PICOS framework generations
- Inclusion/exclusion criteria generations
- Search-string generations
- AI edits per generated search string
Free includes 1 of each. Mapped Project and Mapped Team include 2 of each. These caps are about drafting the question and the search. They are separate from how many databases a search can run, which is described on literature search.
Choosing a plan
Use Free to set up the review, store up to 3,000 citations, and run the included 500 AI title/abstract screenings with dual review. Move to Mapped Project when the review needs the full workflow: matched 10,000 citation and screening quotas, AI full-text screening, extraction and risk of bias for 20 included studies, meta-analysis, GRADE, manuscript generation, validation, and unlimited collaborators. Move to Mapped Team when the same workflow needs 20,000 citations stored, 20,000 AI title/abstract screenings, and 50 included studies for extraction and for risk of bias.
