Integrations

Connect your workflow

mapped fits the tools your team already uses. Live Google Workspace integration, 600 DPI publication-ready plot exports across PNG / SVG / PDF / EPS, native compatibility with the major reference managers — no migration friction, no formatting drift.

Updated April 2026

mapped integrates natively with Google Workspace (Sheets for live extraction tables, Docs for collaborative manuscript editing, Drive for project files, Slides for presentation export), all major reference managers (Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, RefWorks via RIS and BibTeX), and exports plots at publication-ready 600 DPI in PNG, SVG, PDF, and EPS formats. Manuscript exports cover Word, PDF, LaTeX, and Google Docs. Six journal presets ship with the right plot dimensions and citation styles.
Google Sheets / Docs / Drive / Slides (live)
600 DPI plot exports (PNG / SVG / PDF / EPS)
6 journal presets (JAMA, Lancet, NEJM, BMJ, Cochrane, generic)
Reference managers: Zotero / Mendeley / EndNote / RefWorks
Manuscript exports: Word / PDF / LaTeX / Google Docs
RIS / BibTeX / CSV / Excel for search results

Key Capabilities

Google Sheets — Live Extraction Tables

Extracted data flows directly into Google Sheets in real time. Your team edits collaboratively with native version history, comments, and conditional formatting. Updates in mapped sync to the sheet; changes in the sheet sync back. No separate tooling, no learning curve, no copy-paste between systems.

Google Docs — Manuscript Editing

Export the 13-section manuscript draft to Google Docs in one click — formatting, citations, figures, and tables intact. Your team edits with the comment, suggestion-mode, and version-history workflows you already know. Co-authoring across institutions and time zones works out of the box.

Google Drive + Slides

Drive: project files, PDFs, protocols, and supplementary materials with mapped-aligned permissions. Slides: forest plots, PRISMA flow diagrams, and key findings export as presentation-ready slide decks — useful for thesis defense, conference presentations, or grant updates.

Reference Manager Compatibility

Direct compatibility with Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, and RefWorks via standard RIS and BibTeX export. Import citations into mapped to seed a search; export deduplicated results back to your reference manager. Citation insertion in the manuscript module pulls from the same library — single source of truth.

Publication-Ready Plot Exports (600 DPI)

All meta-analysis and risk-of-bias plots export at 600 DPI in PNG, SVG, PDF, or EPS — the resolution most journals require for figure submission. Six journal presets (JAMA, Lancet, NEJM, BMJ, Cochrane, generic) configure the right dimensions, fonts, and color palette automatically. Released March 2026.

Standard Manuscript & Data Exports

Manuscripts export to Word (.docx), PDF, LaTeX, and Google Docs — pick the format your target journal accepts. Search results export to RIS, BibTeX, CSV, or Excel for downstream tools. Extracted data exports to Excel and CSV for statistical software (R, Stata, SPSS).

Frequently asked questions

What does mapped integrate with?
Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Slides) natively, plus all major reference managers (Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, RefWorks via RIS and BibTeX) and standard export formats for statistical software (Excel, CSV, R, Stata, SPSS-compatible).
At what resolution does mapped export plots?
All meta-analysis and risk-of-bias plots export at 600 DPI in PNG, SVG, PDF, or EPS — the resolution most journals require for figure submission. Six journal presets (JAMA, Lancet, NEJM, BMJ, Cochrane, generic) configure the right dimensions, fonts, and color palette automatically.
Can I edit manuscripts in Google Docs?
Yes — one-click export to Google Docs preserves all formatting, citations, figures, tables, and the PRISMA 2020 checklist. Your team uses Google's comment, suggestion-mode, and version-history workflows. Familiar interface, no migration friction, no formatting drift on import.
Does mapped work with Zotero / Mendeley / EndNote?
Yes. Search results export to RIS (for Zotero, EndNote, Mendeley) and BibTeX (for LaTeX workflows). Citations imported from your reference manager flow into the manuscript module and de-duplicate against the project bibliography. Switching reference managers mid-project doesn't break the workflow.
How much do integrations cost?
Google Workspace integration and standard export formats are included in every plan, including the free tier. The Mapped Project tier (list $119/project, currently $79 launch pricing) unlocks 600 DPI publication exports and all six journal presets. Custom Enterprise plans add SSO and admin controls. See mappedresearch.com/pricing.
Is there an API for custom integrations?
An API is on the roadmap for Custom Enterprise plans (Q3 2026 target). For now, mapped exposes its data through standard exports — RIS, BibTeX, CSV, Excel, JSON via Google Sheets — which most institutional pipelines can ingest directly. Custom integrations are scoped per Enterprise contract.
